Engine transfer

In this short update we would like to inform all of you that we have decided to switch Member of War from the Unity Engine to the Unreal Engine. This due to that we have a vision for our graphical improvement together with our currently available procedural generated worlds and improved game modes coming in a future build while at the same time being able to later port to Unreal Engine 5.

A few things that we need to sort out is how we port the game to the new engine, make sure that the game gets better graphics and features without impacting performance to much, how we can improve the general flow of the game and of course how we can setup our online service in the best possible way.

This would all be easier if we can find a publisher interested to publish Member of War and put funding into the creation of the game so that we can realize this port easier.

A few features to note that are coming to Member of War and already are battle tested on the developer servers are procedural generated maps so that every encounter feels unique, new mission objectives, improved AI and new improved destruction physics.

We hope that you guys can wait as we plan to improve on our game in the best possible way together with you.
The plan still stands for having our game available for free but we brought up to have a limited free version that allows you to play the game with friends but not on public servers since we aim our game to have no micro transactions but we of course need a way to pay for the servers you will play on.

These are all things we are thinking about and will work out over the coming days to give you a update around the end of next week.
